The Scumdogs of GWAR Are Back

Quite possibly the most frightening band on the planet, GWAR, has released their newest blood soaked, horror filled, riff smashing, heart pounding, brain churning, head exploding album – Lust In Space. Sure to have your eardrums exploding and your brain liquifying, this new music will have you screaming for more! Not since Scumdogs of The Universe has a GWAR album hit harder than this one.

The boys from outerspace have outdone themselves and in the process have destroyed over 48 million dollars in recording equipment, alone, just to get this album finished. What’s even more amazing is their placement on the Billboard top 100, at 96! I wonder how many people they had to slay to make that happen.

If you have never heard of GWAR, but love awesome heavy metal music, have a sense of humor, and enjoy special effects makeup with theatrics, then this might be the band for you. Halloween Horror Nights 2009 Orlando Florida

Sure to have you screaming your head off, Universal Studios Florida will be filled to the brim with 8 new haunted houses, 6 new scare zones, and 2 live shows that will give you heart palpitations and send you running for the exits.

Three of the most terrifying movies to hit the box office: Saw, Chucky and The Wolfman (due to hit the silver screen in 2010), will be ripped from the silver screen and brought to life in their very own haunted attractions this year. Benicio Del Toro Is The Wolfman

Good news! It would seem that we can expect to experience the twisted joys of having so many horror films to watch in the months ahead. If you are fanatical about werewolves, like I am, and have been hoping for another awesome werewolf film, then worry no longer because Hollywood has answered the call. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into (pun intended), The Wolfman, starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins. I mean really, how lucky are we that Anthony took this role. Oh the wonderful acting we are going to see from both Anthony and Benecio in this film.

If you have not seen the trailer for this movie, it is definitely worth checking out. Judging by the amazing trailer, alone, I can say without a doubt that I will be attending this movie on the day it opens. Unfortunately, this movie is slated to be released across America in February 2010. Not exactly Halloween timing, but I’ll take it anyways. Check out what they have done with makeup and special effects. All I can say is WOW!

A Nightmare On Elm Street – The Origin of Freddy Krueger

A diabolical character created in the dark mind of Wes Craven, Freddy Krueger is definitely one of the most celebrated slashers of all time, next to Jason and Michael Meyers. Guess what?! In 2010 your nightmares will return because Freddy is coming back! The very innovative and wildly successful “A Nightmare on Elmstreet” franchise began in 1984 and spawned 7 sequels. This film has a cult following in its own right and true fans will be excited to know that Freddy is coming back.

From what little information we could find on the web, what we know is that this film is based on the origin of Freddy Krueger – where he came from. Perhaps we will get a glimpse of his twisted youth. Sadly, Robert Englund will not be man behind the mask of Freddy. Rest assured that the man who was selected to don Freddy’s signature fedora and glove has been thoroughly vetted. I am sure the director knows that Freddy Krueger fans are a special breed and will be looking to experience the same fear that Robert Englund was able to cast upon their mind and body.
